Urgent Care...
I have been to the ER or Urgent Care more in the past 3 months than I have been in the past 3 years!! This is a record year, but I know this has to be the last of it! I thought for sure I broke it. I couldn't hold anything in my left hand and it hurt quite a bit. James took me to the Urgent Care the next day to get some xrays. I couldn't believe it, but it wasn't broken. Sweet! Mary James's wife did some cryotherapy on it, which hurt but I think it helped alot.
So with me out of commision on the bike for at least a couple days James and I decided to go on a couple hikes. Saturday morning we went out and did the Incline hike. It's a fairly short hike, but it's REALLY steep. It basically goes straight up the mountain. None of that zig-zag across the mountain crap. :) James showed off a bit when he started the pace and I couldn't keep up. Then when he'd get far enough up that I couldn't see him he would turn around and come back down to where I was to "check on me". After the thrid time he did that I told him to PISS OFF and just go to the top!! Hehe. He knew I was just playing with him, but when he kept coming down to see how I was doing he was being a show-off. That's okay James you wait till' I move out there and I get acclimated. It's ON!! HAHA! You know I luv ya.
The whole time I was hiking I was trying to rest my left hand on my head and walk up that way. You know....trying to keep my hand above my heart. I'm sure it wasn't the best thing to do, but there was NO WAY I was going to sit at the house all day and not do anything.
Once we got to the top we ran down the backside and back down to the car. The rest of the day was spent icing and taking it easy. Especially because we decided that we would do another hike the next day. Except this hike was going to be all the way to the top of Pike's Peak. Yup, the Pike's Peak that stands 14,110 feet high. We needed to rest up.
