1.What did you do to make money before you were on the circuit?

Petroleum transfer engineer

3.Frank Trotter is the head mechanic on Team Giant. What are some of the things that he does to drive you nuts? What are some of his better qualities?
Is frank going to see this? Cause that kinda affects the answer. No seriously he drives me nuts cause he’s usually right. The guy is a wealth of knowledge, which is why he’s so great to work with.

4. Where do you hang out most when you are home?
The bread bakery and just about anyplace that serves beer.

5. Which one of your riders is the most finicky about their bike and why?
Are you trying to start some fights with these questions or what? Probably Rando only cause as a downhiller he needs everything to be perfect considering the speed and danger that goes along with downhilling; no room for error. Not to mention that he is a pretty damn good mechanic in his own right so if something is not quite right he’s on it.

6. What is your favorite beer?
Lately I would have to say Tecate, but it tends to change with the seasons.

7. How many voices can you do and what are they?
I’ve been known to do some impressions but some are pretty random. There has been a lot of Yoda coming out lately in the pits.

8. Tell me a little about your trials skills and competing?
Rode trials for 5 or 6 yrs. Colorado state champ a couple of times, made the world’s team twice in 2000 and 2001 for elite modified which was pretty cool.

9. What bikes do you own right now?
Trance, NRS rd bike mod bike, Durango bike works steel ; fully rigid , old Kona Hot that I use as a townie set up single speed, and a Reign. And a unicycle.

10. What is the hardest part about being a mechanic?
All the travel and time away from home and 14 hour days.

11. Which race venue have you enjoyed most and why?
West Virginia last year cause I got to see 5 or 6 friends that I hadn’t seen in a long time. And Mammoth last year cause the team did so well if was a really fun weekend.

12.Who has the worst gas of all the riders?
Craig; no contest.

13.If you were stranded on an island what three things would you bring?
Never ending keg of beer; tap for the keg and some plastic cups.

14.Who is in your local posse at home?
Glen, fassbinder aka dr. doom and Pendleton.

15.What is your favorite part on the bike? What is your favorite part of the bike?

16.Your least favorite part to work on?
Chain.

17.What kind of music do you listen to while driving cross country?
Rap and the comedy channel.

18.Who is the craziest truck driver on the circuit? Why?
Monk. The guy drives some crazy hours.

19.What is your favorite movie?
Office space.

20. If you could be a mechanic in any other sport what would it be?
The running joke is that when we retire Frank and I are going to be mechanics for a XC only team.
